Music Ministry
"I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being." Psalm 104:33
The purpose of our music ministry is to praise God in song, and to prepare hearts before the message brought by the Pastor. Our desire is that all music is worshipful and does not distract from the message of Christ. Preaching is primary at New Testament Baptist Church, and we expect the song service, congregational singing, choir music, and special numbers in song to point to the preaching time. Our music is refreshingly conservative and dynamic.
We praise the Lord for those who give their time and talents to this ministry, that Christ might be glorified in song.
"It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:" Psalm 92:1
The year 2008 was a great year for our Music Ministry. We had the privilege of hosting a Choir Conference through the ministry of Bro. Byron Foxx and Bible Truth Music.
Another exciting facet our our Music Ministry was the combined Master Club and Children's Choir Musical.
We produced a special patriotic service to honor our military, and during the Christmas season, we produced our own drama and musical, "Have Yourself a Politically Incorrect Christmas."
The year 2009 is already off to a great start with our choir learning four new arrangements.
