Our Invitation to Parents
NTBC Youth: UNIQUE YOUTH MINISTRY
If you are the parent of a teen, and you are in search of a church like us, and if you are trying to raise your child according to Bible precepts and principles; then you should give serious consideration to New Testament Baptist Church.
Our Youth Ministry is what every youth ministry should be:
Christ-centered youth ministry
A training ground for ministry
A proving ground for living a Godly life in an ungodly world
A testing ground for what you believe
Bible focused-We preach and teach the Bible
Lots and lots of fun, food, and fellowship
A place to make great memories
Searching for a Godly Youth Ministry... Here are some questions to consider:
Are you growing weary of your church's worldly youth group? Yes or No
Does your church's youth meeting resemble a rock concert? Yes or No
Does your Youth Pastor look and act and talk like one of the gang? Yes or No
Are you afraid of what is going on in your church's youth center? Yes or No
Is your child's youth group operating separately from your adult church? Yes or No
Is your Youth Pastor or your child's Youth Sponsors giving advice to your child that is contradictory to your wishes? Yes or No
Does your child's Youth Pastor take your child to worldly activities? Yes or No
Do you feel helpless as if you can't do anything about this situation? Yes or No
There is something you can do. If you answered YES to at least one of the questions above, then it is time to find a new church right now with a youth ministry that will support your training at home.
Here's a Youth Ministry Policy I bet you won't find in any other youth group:
All parents of our NTBC Youth Ministry are automatically considered invited guests on all of our activities. In fact, our activity chaperones are the parents of our young people. We invite any of our parents to attend Sunday School with their children, and why not. You should be aware of what we are teaching to them. By the way, our parents take advantage of this invitation.
We sincerely desire that your child's best memories are those they spent with you-not with the Youth Pastor, his family, or any other Youth Sponsors. We look at ourselves as partners to parents-not substitutes for parents. This is why we will not allow anyone to work within our Youth Ministry who displays a desire to give a teen any advice contrary to the parent's advice. We will not allow our Youth Ministry to alienate your child from you, the parent.
