Revival Meetings

We are pleased to announce three revivals at New Testament Baptist Church during 2009.

Danny Whetstone: March 1-6, 2009

UPDATE
Despite cold weather and snow in the beginning of the week and very warm temperatures at the end of the week, God’s people were faithful to attend revival services. Thanks to all the choir members and those who provided special music. Brother Whetstone preached eight powerful messages, and it is evident that God moved in the hearts of some. We look forward to the continued evidence of revival in our hearts as we continue to serve God here at New Testament.

Missionary Danny Whetstone was saved as a thirteen-year-old boy. He was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Tallahassee, Florida, when the Lord called him to preach the gospel of Christ in January 1971. In January 1972 he entered Bob Jones University, and graduated in 1976 with a major in Bible.

In his junior year of college he was called to pastor the Summit View Baptist Church in Greenville, South Carolina. After graduation in 1976 he was called to pastor the Central Baptist Church in Greeneville, Tennessee. During his pastorate at Central Baptist, he traveled to several mission fields to visit the missionaries supported by the church.

In the same year that Brother Whetstone moved to Greeneville, Tennessee, he was asked to join the Executive Board of World Wide New Testament Baptist Missions. While visiting Lisbon, Portugal in 1984, the Lord called him into full-time missions service. He has served as a missionary in Grenada, West Indies, as a Director of National Missions, and he now serves as the President of World Wide New Testament Baptist Missions in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. Considered a "preacher to preachers," Brother Danny has preached in thirty-five countries around the world. Presently, Brother Whetstone preaches in missions conferences and revivals in the United States, and he travels to mission fields overseas. Since February 1991, he has assisted in the establishing of several churches in Romania. SOURCE: World Wide New Testament Baptist Missions

David Cajiuat: July 18-23, 2009

NTBC Annual Bible Boot Camp

UPDATE
Our 6th Annual BibleBootCamp'09 was a tremendous success with record numbers of young people attending and three teens accepting Christ as savior. Brother Cajiuat preached fervent messages and several young people responded and made life-changing decisions. We were also blessed by the Cajiuat's ministry during the Sunday services. We are looking forward to seeing them again at our Spring Revival in 2010.

David Cajiuat was born in Baguio, Philippines but grew up in Oxnard, California. He made many professions of faith but never possessed The Faith. David enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Camp Darby, Italy where he came to know Christ as his personal Savior, March 17, 1990. He married Charlotte D. Samuelson and then was honorably discharged from the Air Force in order to enroll in Ambassador Baptist College. David has served under Pastor Frank Camp as the Youth Director at Maranatha Baptist Church in Shelby, NC for over six years and was on staff at Ambassador Baptist College in Lattimore, NC as the Activities Director for seven years. David graduated from ABC in 1998 with a degree in Biblical Studies with an emphasis on evangelism and completed his Master’s degree in Theology in May of 2001. David and his family moved to Huntsville, Alabama where he is currently the staff evangelist at Calvary Baptist Church under Dr. Greg McLaughlin. We are privileged to have Brother David and his family return for their third year at our annual HeartForHIM Youth - Bible Boot Camp. SOURCE: VoiceoftheEvangelist.com

Alton Beal: October 4-9, 2009

UPDATE

This week of Revival was a revival in the truest sense of the word. There were many decisions, and the altar was full nearly every evening. The meetings were characterized by great preaching and singing. Bro. Beal's preaching has never been better; his messages were exactly what our church needed. One added bonus of the meeting was a special love offering taken to help students at Ambassador Baptist College.

Alton Beal was born into a drunkard’s home near Yadkinville, NC. In the early years of his life, he had few Christian influences, aside from occasional church attendance. Around the age of ten, he began riding a van to church on Sunday Mr. Beal's photomornings. Two years later, he accepted Christ as his Savior in his bedroom while reading a Gospel tract.

At the age of fifteen, Alton surrendered his life to the Lord during the invitation of a Neighborhood Bible Time Crusade. Two years later, he sensed God’s calling to the ministry. Upon graduating from a public high school in 1992, he enrolled at Ambassador Baptist College.

His call to evangelism was confirmed during his college years. He traveled with several college musical groups as a vocalist and preacher. After graduating with a BBS in Bible and Evangelism in 1996, he was asked to join the staff at Ambassador as a dormitory supervisor, and later became the Dean of Men. His experiences in the Dean of Students Office have been a great asset in his ministry to young people.

While still faithful to his college responsibilities, Alton launched into evangelism in 1998, and his preaching opportunities have included revival/evangelistic campaigns, Christian school meetings, and Christian camps. The Beals serve as a family in their evangelistic meetings. While Alton is preaching in the auditorium, his wife Michelle conducts children’s meetings. Andrew and Jared help provide special music with their father and are teaching their little sister Karis how to sing. God has used Alton’s outstanding tenor solo voice to prepare the hearts of the listeners to receive his fervent, compassionate Bible messages.

While continuing his ministry in evangelism, Alton now serves at Ambassador Baptist College as Dr. Ron Comfort’s administrative assistant and will assume the presidency of the college in May 2009. SOURCE: Ambassadors.edu
